Our Services
We offer evidence-based counseling across six core areas. Each service is tailored to the individual — because no two journeys look the same.
Anxiety can feel like a constant hum beneath everything — the racing thoughts at 2 a.m., the dread before a meeting, the sense that something is always about to go wrong. It is exhausting, and it is more common than most people realize.
At Meadowbrook, we help you understand what is driving your anxiety and build practical, lasting tools to quiet it. We use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques to help you shift unhelpful thought patterns and respond to stress with greater ease.
Who this helps: Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, performance anxiety, worry, burnout, and stress-related concerns.
Trauma changes the way we experience the world. It can live in the body as tension, in the mind as intrusive memories, and in relationships as distance or reactivity. Whether your trauma is recent or decades old, its effects are real — and so is the possibility of healing.
We offer trauma-informed care rooted in safety, trust, and your own pace. Our primary trauma modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a well-researched approach that helps the brain process stuck memories so they lose their grip on the present. We also draw on somatic awareness and Trauma-Focused CBT.
Who this helps: PTSD, complex trauma (C-PTSD), childhood trauma, sexual trauma, accident or medical trauma, grief, and loss.
Addiction is not a moral failure. It is a complex response to pain, stress, and unmet needs — and it deserves the same compassionate, evidence-based care as any other health condition. Whether you are in early recovery, struggling with relapse, or just beginning to question your relationship with a substance, you are welcome here.
We use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you explore your own reasons for change, without pressure or judgment. We also address the underlying emotional drivers of addictive behavior — including trauma, anxiety, and depression — because lasting recovery requires treating the whole person.
Who this helps: Alcohol use disorder, substance use disorders, prescription drug dependency, behavioral addictions, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Every relationship goes through seasons of difficulty. Whether you are navigating a specific conflict, recovering from a breach of trust, or simply feeling disconnected from each other, couples counseling offers a structured, safe space to work through it together.
We draw on the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples understand their patterns, communicate more effectively, and rebuild the emotional connection that brought them together. We work with couples at all stages — from newlyweds to long-term partners, and including LGBTQ+ couples.
Who this helps: Communication breakdown, conflict, infidelity recovery, life transitions, intimacy concerns, premarital counseling, and general relationship strengthening.
Depression is more than sadness. It can look like exhaustion, numbness, withdrawal, or a quiet sense that nothing really matters. It can make the simplest tasks feel impossible — and it can be isolating in a way that is hard to put into words.
At Meadowbrook, we approach depression with both compassion and evidence-based tools. We work to understand what is underneath your depression — whether that is unresolved grief, chronic stress, trauma, or something else entirely — and build a path forward that is realistic and sustainable for you.
Who this helps: Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, seasonal depression, postpartum depression, and depression related to life transitions or loss.
Grief is not a problem to be solved — it is a natural response to loss. But that does not make it any less painful or disorienting. Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a job, a health diagnosis, or a life you imagined, your grief is valid and it deserves space.
We offer a compassionate, non-prescriptive approach to grief counseling. There is no timeline, no stages you must move through in order. We simply walk alongside you — helping you process, integrate, and eventually find a way to carry your loss while still moving forward.
Who this helps: Bereavement, anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, loss of a relationship or identity, major life transitions, and grief related to trauma or sudden loss.
